Terms and Conditions of Our On-line Shop

  • Our Service
Stargazey Gifts and Home is a small independent shop based in Porthleven on the Lizard, Cornwall. We work with and stock products designed and made by small design companies and local artisans. Most pieces are handmade and therefore are unique and impossible to portray individually as a photograph, so there may be slight variations to the product you receive. Our stock numbers are small, due to the type of products and storage facilities we have. We therefore apologise if items are not always available on-line. Please contact us if you want more information on the availability of a product.
  • Ordering
Ordering from Stargazey Online is safe and easy. Simply browse our products, add items you wish to purchase to your shopping bag and pay via our secure checkout.
  • Payment
Stargazey uses PayPal to process credit and debit card transactions. You do not need to have a Paypal account. On the Paypal checkout screen, you can either login to Paypal if you have a Paypal account, or alternatively you can click on the option to pay by Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch. We do not store your card details.
  • VAT
All prices on the website are inclusive of VAT at 20%. Our VAT number is shown on your confirmation invoice.
  • Postage & Packing
We try and keep our carriage rates competitive and fair. We try to follow good environmental practice by using recycled packaging where possible. We will package items carefully to ensure they arrive with you in good condition. We mainly use Royal Mail or Delivery Couriers as this enables us to keep the cost of carriage at a more affordable level.
Postage & Packing Charges for Mainland UK for an order are as follows:
Up to £20 cost £3.50
£20.01 to £100 cost £6.00
£100.01 and upwards £10.00
We are unable to deliver outside mainland UK at the moment.
  • Delivery
Our deliveries are usually 3-5 working days, but sometimes they can take longer depending on the courier service we use. You will receive an email notification of when your purchase has been shipped, and if appropriate this will include a tracking number.
  • Returns
If you decide to return your purchased items we will only accept returns within 7 days of delivery if they are faulty or damaged in transit. As a small business, we cannot offer a full returns service, so please check the details of the products on-line before purchase, as we cannot except a return for any other reason. If your item is faulty or damaged if possible we will replace the item. If not possible we will refund the full amount including any postage and packing costs.
